About the Procedure
Tattoo removal using the Picosure laser is performed on an outpatient basis at Incredible Veins Skin & Body. Prior to the procedure, we apply a strong topical numbing solution to the area so the procedure is as painless as possible. We also use a special chilling device to keep the skin at a comfortable temperature, even when applying laser heat to the treatment area. Treatment time varies, based on the size of the tattoo and the color and type of ink used.
Immediately following your Picosure treatment, you will be able to return to your daily activities. Special ointment and a bandage must be used for the first day to protect the treatment area. While you may uncover your tattoo when you are indoors at that point, it is best to keep the area protected from sun exposure for a number of days after treatment to prevent potential complications.
Getting Results
Results will appear right away and continue to improve as the body absorbs and eliminates the shattered pigment.
